Gian Guido Gentili was born in Turin (Italy). He got a Laurea degree in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1987. In 1989, as a researcher he joined the CNR (National Research Council), at CSTS (Centre for Space Telecommunications) Politecnico di Milano, Dip. Elettronica e Informazione. In 2001 he became senior CNR researcher and in 2002 he became an associate professor at Politecnico di Milano, his current position.<\/p>\n
His main research interests are in the field on numerical method for electromagnetics (Method of moments, Finite-Elements Method, Green\u2019s function techniques, Mode matching, hybrid methods, perturbational methods), antennas (planar antennas, horns, reflectors, orthomode-transducers), microwave passive devices (complex waveguide junctions, planar filters, waveguide filters, comb filters, diplexers, dividers\/combiners) and plasmonics (nanoantennas and THz radiation).<\/p>\n
