Bio

Gian Guido Gentili was born in Turin (Italy). He got a Laurea degree in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1987. In 1989, as a researcher he joined the CNR (National Research Council), at CSTS (Centre for Space Telecommunications) Politecnico di Milano, Dip. Elettronica e Informazione. In 2001 he became senior CNR researcher and in 2002 he became an associate professor at Politecnico di Milano, his current position.

His main research interests are in the field on numerical method for electromagnetics (Method of moments, Finite-Elements Method, Green’s function techniques, Mode matching, hybrid methods, perturbational methods), antennas (planar antennas, horns, reflectors, orthomode-transducers), microwave passive devices (complex waveguide junctions, planar filters, waveguide filters, comb filters, diplexers, dividers/combiners) and plasmonics (nanoantennas and THz radiation).
